So a blog is born. Will it get off the ground? We shall hope so. So what will this place be for? In theory, I'll post artwork here and other things of the sort.
So why the name? Well, it is now popularly thought that the universe is flat- not spherical or saddle shape like what was previously thought. Since the density of the universe has been measured to be extremely close to the critical density(within a 2% margin of error) then that means the universe is indeed flat. What does this have to do with anything? Well, if the universe is indeed accelerating in its expansion than one day every galaxy will be so distant from one another that they won't be able to be perceived. When the stellar age is over then all that will remain are miscellaneous matter and black holes. Soon even the black holes will evaporate and there will only be the wandering particles.
Perhaps the universe is infinite or maybe, even more bizarrely, the universe has a limit. Who knows for sure?
I also chose the name for this blog because I like to think that my artwork has a little story attached to them. In a sense, they are 2-dimensional universes of their own.
